Best Long-Term Coliving Spaces for Digital Nomad Families

Families who work remotely often want a base for one to three months, with a kitchen, a desk, and other children nearby. This list covers five coliving options that publish family terms, from full programs with school to simple apartments with a parent community. Each entry gives child ages, prices, work setup, and the main limit to check before booking.

How These Coliving Spaces Were Chosen

Each option needed to publish clear family terms, such as child ages or family rooms. Each also needed a work setup, an option to stay a month or longer, and published prices. Prices were checked in October 2026 and can change by season.

The list goes from the option with the most services included to the option with the fewest. Many entries are in Europe, where visa-free visitors can stay up to 90 days in any 180 days under the Schengen 90/180 day rule. Longer stays depend on visa terms for children, which our guide to nomad visas with dependent provisions explains. Families still deciding whether coliving suits them can read how to choose a coliving space over a hotel or Airbnb.

1. Boundless Life (Sintra, Syros, Tuscany, Bali, and More)

Boundless Life sells a furnished apartment, a school for the children, and a coworking hub for parents as one package. Other worldschooling hubs offer parts of this, but few combine all three.

  • Locations: Nine destinations are listed, including Sintra in Portugal, Syros in Greece, Tuscany in Italy, Bali, and Andalusia in Spain. The pricing page marks Kamakura in Japan as coming soon.
  • Stay length: Worldschool semesters run about three months, such as January 3 to March 19, 2027. A full Worldschool Year is also offered.
  • Children: The education center takes children aged 1.5 to 14. It runs five days a week from 8:45 AM to 3:30 PM, with meals included.
  • Parents: Community access includes 24/7 use of the coworking hub, weekly wellness activities, and airport transfers.
  • Price: Starting prices run from €1,300 to €2,800 a month for the January to March 2027 semester, depending on location. A one-time €400 enrolment fee applies for each child.

The starting price covers tuition, community access, and a family home. The final price depends on the number of adults, children, and bedrooms, so the site’s calculator gives a closer figure. Booking a Boundless home with the package takes €300 off per child each month on semesters. Dates are fixed by cohort, and each application is reviewed before a place is confirmed.

Best for: Families who want school, housing, and community arranged together for a full semester or year.

2. Cohli (Portugal, Spain, and Colombia)

Cohli places six to ten families in one venue for one to three months. A lead educator runs a daily kids program at each location, and the group is matched by hand.

  • Upcoming cohorts: Alentejo Eco-Farm in Portugal runs January 10 to March 10, 2027. Cerdanya Viva in the Spanish Pyrenees runs April 1 to May 31, 2027. Casa Sumapaz in Colombia has one-month cohorts in 2027.
  • Children: The kids program is open to ages 1 to 12 and works best for ages 3 to 9. It draws on Montessori, Waldorf, Reggio Emilia, Forest School, and worldschooling.
  • Work time: Parents work from a coworking space during the morning program. Afternoons are usually free play supervised by parents.
  • Price: Monthly cohorts range from about €4,180 to around €11,000 per family. Alentejo Eco-Farm starts at €4,180 a month, and Cerdanya Viva starts at €4,650 a month.

Pricing covers housing, education, some or all meals, and community activities. Flights, visas, and personal costs are separate. Program hours vary by cohort, so each cohort page shows how many hours of staffed care to expect. Locking in a 2027 window takes a $1,000 deposit, which is non-refundable unless Cohli cannot run the cohort.

Best for: Families who want a small, hand-matched group and a kids program for stays of one to three months.

3. iSlow Coliving (Laxe, Galicia, Spain)

iSlow is a rural coliving house in the village of Laxe on the Costa da Morte. The site calls it family-friendly all year and runs a family program each summer.

  • Rooms: Family rooms have an ensuite bathroom and a desk, and sleep up to five guests.
  • Price: Family rooms are listed at €1,500 to €2,400 per four weeks for two guests, depending on room and season. Children aged 3 and older cost from €15 a night, and children under 3 stay free.
  • Work setup: Guests get a coworking space, a call room, a desk in the room, and 600 Mbps internet, according to the site.
  • Kids: The July 2027 summer school starts at €250 a week per child, with groups for ages 5 to 8 and 9 to 12. Toddler childcare costs €20 an hour and can be shared by up to four children.
  • Minimum stay: Two weeks.

The site also states a 30% discount for stays of four weeks or more. The amount at checkout may differ from the listed figures. The summer school runs in July, and the team helps book outside activities in August and September. Families who need regular care can review these childcare options for digital nomad parents. The site recommends a car, especially with children, and lists a taxi from Santiago de Compostela airport at €95.

Best for: Families with children aged 3 to 12 who want a quiet coastal village, a coworking room, and optional childcare.

4. Château Coliving (Normandy, France)

Château Coliving is a 12th-century château set in 80 hectares of parkland. Families stay in the 17th-century Manor house, which sits just across from the main castle.

  • Family housing: Manor house apartments have private kitchens. Children under 12 are welcome, and adults can use the workspace and join community events.
  • Internet: Speeds run from 100 to 250 Mbps, and the workspace is open 24 hours a day.
  • Stay length: The minimum is 28 nights in the same calendar month. Stays of three months or longer are generally possible in the Manor house, with better rates.
  • Price: Coliving.com lists stays from roughly US$1,800 to US$1,900 a month. Apartment rates were not published on the pages checked.
  • Pets: Allowed in the Manor house for €150 a month.

The pages checked do not mention a school or childcare service, so parents plan learning and care themselves. The château says a car is the only way to reach the property, and two supermarkets are seven to ten minutes away by car. The stated policy covers children under 12, so families with teenagers should ask the team first.

Best for: Families with children under 12 who want a quiet rural base, a shared community, and a long stay in France.

5. La Meca Coliving (Los Caños de Meca, Spain)

La Meca Coliving offers apartments and houses near Los Caños de Meca on the Atlantic coast of Cádiz. The operator describes La Tribu, a community of parents who share ideas about different educational approaches.

  • Housing: Apartments and houses, listed on Coliving.com under El Palmar de Vejer.
  • Price: From about US$1,269 a month on Coliving.com.
  • Work setup: A sea-view coworking space. Reviewers mention yoga classes held in it several times a week.
  • Community: La Tribu connects parents locally, and the page invites parents to write in to learn how it works.

The page does not list child ages, a kids program, internet speeds, or a minimum stay. Parents should ask before booking whether the unit size and dates fit. The operator names singles, groups of friends, and couples as typical guests, so the setting may be quieter and more adult than a family-focused program.

Best for: Families who want a coastal base and local parents nearby, and who plan their children’s schooling themselves.

What the Pricing Pages Leave Out

The pages checked focus on housing, programs, and community. Flights and visas are separate, and Cohli says so directly. Château Coliving says a car is the only way to reach the property, and iSlow recommends one. The pricing pages also do not list health insurance as included, so it helps to price family health insurance early.

Next Step: Pick Dates and Flights

Family coliving works best when the child ages, dates, and prices match before anyone books. Portugal, Spain, and France cover most of the options above, and several 2027 cohorts start in January. Write to the team of your top choice with your children’s ages and your dates, and ask for a current quote in writing. Once the dates are set, search flights on FlyBibe for routes to Lisbon, Santiago de Compostela, or Caen, which serve several of these stays.
